Perfect gift set cutting dies

In June 2020 AlinaCraft Store released this Planner Gate Fold Notebook Storage Gift Box die set.

Well it is actually 4 set combined into one to make the projects below:

Make your own Planner

Make a pretty Gift box  for your Planner

Make a Z Fold Album

Make a Pocket Holder for your planner

Make sure to follow to subcribe to Alina's YouTube channel for regular monthly release videos and also follow her shop in AliExpress for many original designs.

I really enjoyed using these as I have been gifting Travelers notebooks for about 2 years now, but has aways found packaging and presenting them a bit boring.  The 6 hole planner page is the perfect size for my filofax planner as well so no more paying a fortune for boring pages.

For the Gate Fold folder box you will need to cut the dies below out of study card and the dies in the next foto out of patterned paper. I choose to use Sweet Dream by Creative Sensations for my projects.

I decided to upccle for my projects and cut my bases out of Amazon packaging envelopes that I then covered with white Gesso, before adding my patterned paper.

Here is the dies I used for the folder

Crafting on a Budget

Today instead of sharing a card I choose to share my June 2017 AliExpress purchases with you.

Here is the Dies I ordered for a total of £36.80.  They were all ordered on the 15th June 2017 and the last one arrived yesterday.  All cut perfectly except the Heart, Spiral and die below, that needed an extra shim.  I also bought a metal shim for £3.13 and that made cutting these 3 dies possibly as the precision plate was not enough to cut them.  This metal shim is small enough to use in my Big Shot but remember not to force your sandwich if it does not go through and remember adding anything not made by Sizzix you do at your own risk.

I also bought these to Stamp set as I like to add a bit of a colour splash from time to time and they came to £3.11

So in total, I spend £ 43.04 on my spoils and I think I got a really good deal considering what these items normally cost.

I normally store my dies in Document Wallets like these that you can get from Poundland in a pack of 5 for £1, I prefer to get the clear pockets but they are not always available at my local Poundland.

This white cardstock comes at a good weight and makes great card bases. I also use it for die-cutting especially when I will be colouring my die-cuts.  They also from time to time have it available in black and craft card at £1 from Poundland.

Crafting on a Budget

So here is the second post of crafting on a budget and again the most expensive part of my card was the inks and glue.

For today's card, I used dies and a  Layered floral stamp set, from AliExpress.  Total Purchase £ 8.53.

Supplies list:
Dew Drop Inks was used:
Summer Sky
Danube Blue
Paris Dusk
Pear Tart
Bamboo Leaves
Olive Grove

£4.77
£2.41

£1.35
Base: 5.5" x 4.25"  from Poundland
Mat: 5.5" x 4.25" Vellum I had in my craft stash from a very long time ago.

So as you can see this time the total came to a bit more but still not too bad when you consider a similar alphabet stamp from Apple Blossom cost £9.99.
