Stamper's Ten March Challenge

Here is my card for the Stamper's Ten challenge.
Ingredients:
Card/Paper: Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Old Olive card with Holiday Treasures designer paper
Ink: Chocolate chip standard cartridge
Stamps: Baroque Border Standard Wheel
Other: Flowers, leaves and brad from Hot off the Press
Card Size: 15cm x 10.5cm (approx 4" x 6")

Method:
This card was made using the Challenge pack provided by Joanne, our Stampin Up host. Feel free to go look at some of her wonderful samples here or join Stamper's Ten.

I used the SU Standard Wheel to create a border on two of the sides of the card and then created an accent as follow:

Waterfall Pocket Fold:
Fold a 3" square of double sided designer paper on half, side to side.
Fold it again, bottom to top.
Turn the folded square on point so the open edges are on top.
Fold down the first layer so it ends ¼” above the bottom point.
Fold down the second layer ¼” above the first layer.
Fold down the third layer ¼” above the second layer.
Do not fold the last layer.

I attached this to the card and added my leaves and flower to the pocket and did soem matting and layering for more detail.

Hope you like it.

Dimension Fourth Project Club

Here is some cards I made using the March Stamp set from the Dimension Fourth club.

Stamper's Ten February Challenge

Ingredients:

Card/Paper: Whisper White, Always Artichoke and Tea and Crumpets designer paper
Ink: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal, Always Artichoke
Stamps: Live Your Dream for the flower image, Thank You Kindly for the words
Other: Hot off the Press Diamond Folds #2 Template, Sakura pen, Hot of the Press Pretty Creative Pack for brads and flowers.
Card Size: 15cm x 10.5cm (approx 4" x 6")

Method:

This card was made using the Challenge pack provided by Joanne, our Stampin Up host. Feel free to go look at some of her wonderful samples here or join Stamper's Ten.

I used my Sakura pen to draw a border around my stamped image and message. I added 3 brads to the main image and layered it on the Always Artichoke card stock. I then traced the daimond lattice from my template using a pencil and cut it with a craft knife, before folding over to show that patterned paper on the back. I highlighted the edges of the lattice cut with my Sakura pen and mounted it on Always Artichole. I went round the edges of the patterned paper with my Sakura pen and mounted it on my white base card.

David is going to a birthday party on Saturday (21/3/9) and wanted a very special card, so here is what I made. It took me nearly a whole week to complete. You can have a look at the template here. I think it came out great and hope that the little lady likes her card.

Oops, think about what you call your kids:)

You Are Powerful and Determined

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.

You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

Looking for challenges

Here is a good place to find them, Julia have them listed with challenges for each day from various blogs. Also visit her blog, Creative Makes, to she how she makes the most of them.

Great new Technique with clear rubber stamps.

SHAPESHIFTING

You can shape shift the image of a clear stamp by deliberately distorting the flexible polymer stamp before placing it on the acrylic block. Change the shape by squishing and pulling the stamp to make the image look tall, short, skinny or fat. Check out this video and some of projects here and here.

I hope to make a book for each family with every ones birthdays, wedding anniversaries and so on in. I think this will be a great way of bringing the family closer even though we live all over the world.

Over the next few days I will be adding interesting things like Birthstones. flower as well as Anniversary gift suggestion for each year both traditional and modern. I will also add Flowers and their meanings, so come back and have a look.
