Messages you might not understand
For those of you that do not know me I am originally from South Africa and from time to time you might see a post you do not understand, this is because Afrikaans is my mother tongue and some things can only be said in Afrikaans. If I had to translate it, it would loose its effectiveness.
Ek is voluit vrou!
Wat maak my swak?
My vrese.
Wat maak my heel?
My God.
Wat hou my staande?
My geloof.
Wat maak my goedhartig?
My vermoë om nie heeltyd aan myself te dink nie.
Wat maak my eerlik?
My integriteit.
Wat hou my gedagtes skoon?
My soektog na ware kennis.
Waaruit leer ek die beste lewenslesse?
My foute.
Wat hou my kop omhoog?
My trots, nie my arrogansie nie.
Wat as ek nie kan uithou en aanhou nie?
Dit is nooit 'n opsie nie.
Wat maak my suksesvol?
My moed om aan te hou met opstaan as ek geval het.
Wat maak my bevoeg vir alles wat ek doen?
My selfvertroue.
Wat maak my mooi?
My alles!
Wat maak my 'n vrou?
My hart.
Wie is ek?
Ek is voluit vrou!
Vir mooi oë, kyk altyd na ander se goeie eienskappe;
vir mooi lippe, sê net vriendelike woorde;
vir grasie, loop met die wete dat jy nooit alleen is nie.

Book Card
(Finished Card Size A6 Landscape)
You will need:
Good Quality A6 Base card (A5 folded in Half)
Decorative paper of your choice, up to 5 different Patterns
Heavy Weight for stand
Double sided tape
Pencil
Scoring Tool
Ruler
Scissors
Peel offs and other embellishments of your choice
Assemble you card as follow:
1. Cut out you template carefully (I laminated mine to make them last longer).
2. Now trace around the page templates on patterned pages. Cut out.
3. Score and crease all pages. I also curve mine by rolling them around a small rolling pin (1 inch Diameter).
4. Now attach the pages with the spines directly in top of the each other. I use Double sided tape or Glue lines made by Glue dots. The Glue lines work really well, especially when you use vellums.
5. Now mount your book on the prepared Base Card with Double sided tape or Glue Lines. Allow ¼ inch on both sides of the base card and then attach the sides of the bottom page to the base, this give a bit more dimension to your card. You can also use double sided foam pads or silicon glue to support the bottom page.
6. Now that the book is assembled decorate as you wish
Assemble you stand as follow:
1. Cut out you template carefully (I laminated mine to make them last longer).
2. Now trace around the Stand templates on heavy duty card. Cut out.
3. Score and Crease down the middle. Decorate as you choose.

Special Dedication to Fathers
I lost my Dad (Johan) in 1997 and my father-in-law (John)a few weeks ago to cancer. I decided to make them a special card, that will always have a special place in my house as reminder of just how lost we sometimes feel with out them and what fathers mean to their children.
So here is a Card in their honor, hope they would have loved it as much as everyone else that has seen it does.
